Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair said that the recent floods have caused huge damage to Sylhet. Even if the flood waters recede, the suffering of the flood-affected people will not end soon. In this calamity of the people of Sila, there were many capable people from abroad. Besides, Jamaat leaders of different districts of Jamaat have stood by the flood affected people of Sylhet. He has extended his hand of help to the flood victims as per his ability. Which deserves praise. This great initiative of Satkhira District Jamaat leaders has proved that in any part of the country, one brother in danger stands by the other brother as much as possible. With the combined efforts of everyone, the flood-affected people of Sylhet are able to alleviate their suffering to some extent. May Allah give good reward to all.
He said the above while distributing relief materials to flood affected people on behalf of Satkhira District Jamaat in South Kusighat area of South Surma Police Station No. 27 of the city on Saturday. Sylhet City Jamaat Ameer Muhammad Fakhrul Islam, Satkhira District Jamaat Ameer Muhaddis Rabiul Bashar, Sylhet District North Ameer Hafiz Anwar Hossain Khan, Satkhira District Jamaat Secretary Maulana Azizur Rahman, Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Satkhira District Secretary Imamul Hossain, South Surma Thana Jamaat Amir Maulana Mujibur Rahman, Secretary Maulana Faizul Islam Zaigirdar and Sylhet City Corporation No. 27 Ward Councilor Abdul Jalil Nazrul etc.
Besides, leaders of Satkhira District Jamaat and Chhatra Shibir visited various flood affected areas of Sylhet Sadar Upazila, expressed sympathy to the flood victims and participated in relief activities.
Ameer Muhaddis Rabiul Bashar of Satkhira District Jamaat said, We are shocked by this disaster of Sylhet’s flood-affected brothers and sisters. All the troubles that befall us come from Allah Almighty. God will remove this trouble inshallah. We have come to sympathize with the flood victims of Sylhet. I pray that Allah will quickly release you from this trouble.
Meanwhile, relief activities and distribution of ready-made food on behalf of Sylhet City Jamaat are continuing in various flood-affected areas of the city on Saturday, like every day.
