Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and Acting Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum along with the central delegation of Jamaat observed the flood situation in Sylhet throughout the day. They visited various flood-affected areas of Sylhet city and suburbs throughout the day on Sunday. During this time, they provided relief assistance to the flood-affected people on behalf of the Jamaat.
Ameer Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman on Saturday distributed relief items to the flood affected people in Sonatala, Balaura, Badaghat Model High School Shelter, Ward No. 39 Rashidiya Madrasa Shelter, Tukerbazar Area of Ward No. 38.
Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, Sylhet City Ameer Muhammad Fakhrul Islam, District North Naib Ameer Syed Faizullah Bahar, Assistant Secretary Maulana Islam Uddin, Sadar Thana Jamaat Ameer Sultan Khan, Jalalabad thana Secretary Maulana Junaid Al Habib, Bangladesh were present. Islami Chhatrashibir Shahjalal University President Rahat Chowdhury and others.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Jamaat’s central delegation headed by General Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum left for Jaintapur and was forced to return midway due to inclement weather. After that, he distributed relief items to the flood victims at Bagbari Varnamala School Shelter in Ward No. 9 of the city. He inquired about them in detail and offered sympathy.
Jamaat executive council member and Amir of Dhaka City South Nurul Islam Bulbul, Executive Council member and Amir of Dhaka City North Muhammad Salim Uddin, Sylhet District North Ameer Hafiz Anwar Hossain Khan were present. Besides, the leaders of various levels of the City, district north and district south Jamaat were present.

While monitoring the flood situation and distributing relief, the top Jamaat leaders said, we are shocked by this calamity of people of Sylhet due to another terrible flood in the space of one month. Jamaat has come forward to help the flood affected people of Sylhet and Sunamganj. Jamaat’s manpower at all levels is working to help the flood-affected people. They urged the able-bodied people of the society to come forward to help the flood victims.
